The Faculty of mechanical engineering is part of the Slovak Technical University and located in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Slovak Technical university has 7 faculties and it the biggest technical university in Slovakia. Degree from Slovak Technical University is recognized in Europe thanks to the ECTS credit system. A degree program at FME STU prepares students with the necessary knowledge and equip them with professional technological training, analytical skills, and valuable assets for the employment market. The Faculty maintains close links with international industries such as Volkswagen, Kia, Peugeot-Citroën, ZF Slovakia, Siemens, IBM inter alia, a strategic alliance contributing to the relevance of its academic programs and career prospects for its graduates.

About the Faculty

The Faculty of mechanical engineering is one of 7 faculties of Slovak Technical Universities. It consists of 11 institutes and Technology Quality Transfer Center, Mechanical Engineering Consultancy Center and Institute for Education PSA Peugeot-Citroën. There are totally 260 employees (148 academic staff, 19 professors and 39 associate professors). Almost 2000 international and Slovak students study at the Faculty. There are 5 bachelors, 13 masters and 10 doctoral study programs offered in Slovak language.

The Faculty offers Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in the English language. The tuition fees per academics year are 4000€
