Course Details: Current compulsory courses of the program are Introduction into the History of Central Europe, Geography of Central Europe, The Visegrad Group in the Context of European Integration, Slovak Ethnology and Introduction into the Theory and Practice of Translating and Interpreting. The Master’s program in European studies is a perfect choice for students interested in government and foreign policy and interdisciplinary research in political and social sciences. Theoretical knowledge is just the starting point; the program is generally focused on the development of critical thinking. Another important competence is the student’s ability to connect facts, events, and ideas. Graduates of the program may pursue their careers in international organizations (Council of Europe,OSCE, NATO), EU institutions, national institutions, think tanks, regional organizations, public administration, NGOs, research centres, international corporations or in academic teaching and research.
