  • conversion of marks from study in secondary schools abroad,
  • the confirmation of the payment of the application fee.

Course Details:

The bachelor’s program in civil engineering encompasses mathematics, physics, Concrete Technology, structure, and stability, and many more.

Civil engineering has been the oldest and broadest engineering discipline, In early BC till date, the building of homes, bridges and other, from pure stonework, construction and other technology has been phenomenal. And is still expanding with innovative and creative ideas. This course involves planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and supervising infrastructures which include facilities essential to modern life like highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports and other buildings, sewage systems and water treatment facilities. Subsequently, the course also involves protecting the public and environmental health as well as improving existing infrastructure.

Language: English

Entrance examination is not required for those students, who finished their studies in the last 3 years, others need to pass entrance exam. 

Course Details:

This course teaches students to be diverse in areas such as Applied Mathematics, Hydraulic Structures, Energy Audit of Buildings, Surveying methods for structure monitoring, Concrete Bridges, Stability and Plasticity of Metal Structures, Forensic Engineering, Practical Problems in Flood Protection, and many more. Students must complete the course with Diploma Thesis, project and state exams.

Admission process is based on the submission of the documents and decision of the selection comitee.

Course Details:

The graduate is able to analyze, design, construct and maintain engineering and transport structures, carry out research with a high degree of creativity and independence. Graduate acquires deep knowledge in the field of analysis of load-bearing structures, enabling him/her to design, maintain and reconstruct safe, useable, durable and aesthetic structures. The study program is focused on the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge and on the development of the graduate´s ability of his/her creative application when performing the profession. After graduating, the graduate of the second-degree study has knowledge of principles and methods of analysis of load-bearing structures of engineering and transport constructions, the principles of their design, diagnostics and evaluation. When solving tasks in individual areas, he/she is able to use acquired experience with application software. In addition to such knowledge and abilities he/she has knowledge related to the economics of buildings, their preparation and management as well as the impact of buildings on the environment.

The graduate is qualified to work as a designer, and later an authorized engineer in the design and construction of civil engineering and transport structures. They can also be used in the preparation of investment constructions, engineering activities, in construction, management, operation and maintenance of transport infrastructure (roads, highways, urban roads, airports, railway lines and stations,
bridges and underground structures). They can work in design offices, investor units, construction companies, state and public administration. By completing the study programme and acquiring the master‘s (engineering) degree, the graduate will obtain a qualification for the performance of a regulated profession. After completing appropriate practice and examinations in front of the Examining Board of the Slovak Chamber of Civil Engineers (SCCE), the graduate may obtain the authorization to perform the profession of „chartered civil engineer“. The content and structure of the study programme corresponds to the structure and scope of the subjects required by SCCE for the profession of chartered civil engineer in the category I3 – engineer for the statics of constructions, namely for buildings, engineering structures and bridges and geotechnics.
