The entrance examination is not required – after submission of documents, it is needed to pass a Skype interview which is focused mainly on English skills and motivation to study in Slovakia. Applicants who pass Skype interview will be given a conditional admission letter. The final letter will be issued after the nostrification of degree.
Course details of Master studies
- The graduate of the master study program Aerospace Engineering in the study branch Transportation has deep knowledge about the modern technical devices and equipment used in aerospace engineering, about the principles of their operation, about the operational conditions and maintenance of the aircraft and space vehicles and their safe utilization in the operational practice. The graduate has knowledge about the aircraft and spacecraft propulsion systems, airframe, and avionic systems in the context of comprehension of the application goal of the aerial vehicles. The graduate is also capable to consider the functionality of the technical and computer aided equipment in the given conditions of the aviation or other manufacturers or repair services and specialized laboratories and also, the graduate is able to communicate expertly with the aviation personnel. The graduate is capable to participate in aircraft incidents and accident investigations and proposing arrangements to prevent similar accidents.
Based on the acquired knowledge about the information systems the graduate is able to use them at the national and also at the international level or to participate in their creation for the purposes of the particular aircraft or space operator, manufacturer, or maintenance service. After graduation, the engineer has the appropriate management abilities focused on the management in the technical area of the aviation and space services, component design and utilization quality of information technologies. The graduate has the capability to perform conceptual and co-ordination activities also at the international level. The graduate uses creative approaches to the solution of the problems with the interdisciplinary character-based on the advanced system procedures. The graduate can analyze and propose theoretical and practical maintenance procedures applying the technical equipment and computer-aided technologies for the specified tasks on the aircraft, aviation equipment, in the manufacturing processes and in other aerospace devices. Based on the acquired knowledge with the interdisciplinary character the graduates can work in the area of development and realization of the new hardware and software products for the aerospace applications in the commercial practice and also in thearea ofthe new information systems design.
