The entrance examination is not required – after submission of documents, it is needed to pass a Skype interview which is focused mainly on English skills and motivation to study in Slovakia. Applicants who pass Skype interview will be given a conditional admission letter. The final letter will be issued after the nostrification of degree.

Course Details of Bachelor studies

  • The graduate of the bachelor’s program will acquire:
    • Basic knowledge of science subjects (mathematics and physics).
    • Basic knowledge of electric motors, devices and equipment.
    • Basic knowledge of power electronics.
    • Basic knowledge of automated control of electrical equipment
    and programming of logic controllers.
    • Experience in programming devices that are controlled by microcomputers
    (so-called embedded systems).
    • Knowledge of electricity processing, including energy from renewable sources
    resources.
    • Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
    • Knowledge for the design, dimensioning and planning of electrical equipment.
    • Basic knowledge of electrical equipment of vehicles and their diagnostics.
    • Basic knowledge of the construction of electric cars.
    • Basic knowledge of robotics

Course details of Master studies

  • Given the wide range of knowledge and skills acquired during the study, graduates of this study program are sought-after and sought-after experts on the labor market with above-average financial evaluation, while many will find employment in the field during their studies. Graduates know each other quickly adapt to the requirements of practice and find their application in all
    industries, in particular PLC programmers, automated line process engineers, hardware and software developers for embedded systems, and electrical equipment designers.
    Graduates will find employment at home and abroad. Here are the areas of application with examples of companies, mainly from our region:
    • companies engaged in the construction of electric motors and electrical and apparatus (BSH Michalovce, SEZ Krompachy, …),
    • operations with automated workplaces (metallurgical, paper, chemical, processing, food industry, engineering companies,
    etc. e.g. U. S. Steel (KE), Chemosvit Svit, SCP Ružomberok, Bukóza Vranov, etc.),
    • development and implementation of automated lines as suppliers (Siemens (KE, BA), ABB (KE, BB), Schneider Slovakia, B Datamont (KE), & R, Slovakia, Cybernetics (KE), Unipro Automation (KE), Process Automation (KE), BWG Prešov, Vukov (PO), Sensor (PO, KE), Procont (PO), …),
    • development of specialized software for electronics (BSH Michalovce),
    • power electronics (Semikron Vrbové),
